How it All Works
Once you have decided that you are ready to order a custom piece of apparel, what’s next?!
See below for the step-by-step process in how ordering from Steed Stitchery works.
PLEASE NOTE:
A minimum of 3 weeks’ time is required to complete a consultation, order fabric, and complete a garment.
Email Steed Stitchery at steedstitchery@outlook.com providing your name, phone number, and general idea of what type of garment(s) you’re looking for. You can include as much or as little detail about the piece(s) you’re seeking. Within 48 business hours, you will receive a return communication via email with the next steps on how to coordinate a consultation - either via email survey or via an approximate 30 minute in-person meeting at a public space in Stark county, Ohio.
Consultation will be coordinated to collect:
Measurements (provided by you or taken by me at in-person meeting)
Details about the piece - is it for a formal event, is it pajamas, is it sports bras, etc.
Fabric preferences - do you need moisture wicking properties? do you prefer natural fibers?
Color or pattern preferences
Within 3 business days of your consultation, you will be provided via email a full quote that includes a line drawing of the pattern design for your piece, digital swatches of fabric selection, and your final measurements. Once you have reviewed all information and made any change requests, you will have the opportunity to approve the quote by making a 50% down payment.
You will submit your 50% down payment via online payment or cash. (Cash payments will be coordinated based on in-person delivery in a public space in Stark county, Ohio).
Your approved fabric will be ordered direct from the vendor. *NOTE: this step cannot happen until the down payment has been made. Delay in quote approval or down payment may delay delivery of the fabric to Steed Stitchery. If you have a time-sensitive project, keep these factors in mind.
Average turnaround time to complete your piece will be approximately 14 business days from quote approval. If you have ordered multiple pieces in the same order, an estimated completion timeline will be provided as part of the quote.
You will be notified via email (or text if you have advised this as your preferred contact method) when you piece is completed. You will be provided a final invoice to pay the remaining 50% balance of the order.
You will submit your final 50% payment via online payment or cash, and at this time, delivery of the piece(s) can be coordinated.
